Long Island Network
With the support of the FRUA Hudson Valley chapter president, the FRUA-NYS sub-group on Long Island was formed. We have held bi-monthly adult meetings since November 2005 in Malverne, NY (Nassau County). We meet for three hours and share invaluable information, experiences, support, emotions and a few good laughs. We recently conducted an adoption book/movie exchange. Events planned for 2008 include bowling, the Museum of Natural History, the Centerport Planetarium, Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, and our annual beach party. Ideas in the works are "Russian Day" for adults and kids, covering a little of everything and Russian cooking class. Contact Nella Yelenovic for the next event!
